In Memory
In Memory
What was it you had said?
Why did you have to go?
Each simple little memory
Now passes by so slow.
I am stuck in the yesterday
Not wanting to accept
The horrid truth that you are gone
Your life taken without threat
This morning you awoke
To face a brand new day
But a cold-hearted terrorist
Took that gift away
Though the grave cry for the lost
In the settling of the dust
They failed to shake our foundation
For in God we put our trust.

World Trade Center
World Trade Center
The smell of fresh brewed coffee
Say your good mornings as usual
A midweek day as normal as can be
But things would not be as they had been
The sudden crashes, never saw it coming
The flames and debris, enormous thundering
Glorious twins of Manhattan falling to their knees
Crying who are these ..
Who've beset me so?
Where are all my children?
Where did they go?
Planes full of people lost their lives
From higher stories some chose to dive
Another day which will live in infamy
Through brotherhood and as a family
America will find a way to carry on
We'll show the world what kind of stuff
That we're made of.

Where is God
Where Is God?
A plane hits- many will die
Another hit- people begin to cry
Where is God?
A third plows into the Pentagon
Plane number four crashes- many more are gone
Where is God?
Rescuers rush in- the buildings fall
Our country mourns- death has touched us all
Where is God?
Churches open- people come to pray
People are found in the rubble- alive they say
Here is God
Strangers helping strangers fast become friends
Working together united till the very end
Here is God
Chorus' of God Bless America ringing in the air
Proving to one and all- Terriorists we will not fear
Here is God
Peace will come to those in pain
For as sure as the sun shines after the rain
GOD IS HERE!!

A Poem for America
A Poem for America
America the Beautiful
America the great
If this is true
Why was this our fate?
Was it something we did?
Was it something we said?
Even if so
Do all those people deserve to be dead?
We are going through horror
We are going through pain
Yet we are not to worry
For justice we shall gain
We must pray and stick together
Pray and be strong
Finding the one responsible will not take too long
And when we do find them
We will make them pay
And that my brothers and sisters
Will be the most glorious day!

Until The End Of Time
Until The End Of Time
My word remains
because it stains
I belong in history
so that you may see my mystery
because of my ancestry
will be my poetry
Until the end of time I belong
because of my song
and tomorrow
when my sorrow appears
I will disappear to
reappear
until the end of time
My word remains
because it stains
until the end of time
will I belong

What happened that day
Still seems so unreal
By violating our freedom
We don’t know how to feel
We thought we were safe
And protected from those
Who would viscously attack
With such horrific blows
Thousands were slain
From the air to the ground
People watched in remorse
Afraid to make a sound
Terror filled our souls
Anger came soon after
An entire nation was rocked
By this dreadful disaster
They want us to go back
To our everyday affairs
Leaving the victims
With our thoughts and prayers
How can we go back?
When we’re full of fear
Afraid for ourselves
And those far and near
Nothing can change
The pain they have made
We can only hope
Their evil is repaid
We’ve come together now
Every race, creed, and age
We all stand united
Most filled with rage
We are all Americans
Different in many ways
But unity is one thing
That can’t go astray
I feel just the same
As millions of others
They’ve attacked our nation
Our sisters and brothers
Punishment shall go out
To those who’ve attacked
To those who harbor
We must make an impact
For they shall know
We are too proud
For our nation to be in hurt
Their demise has been vowed
We will never forget
Those who have died
Killed for no reason
But to destroy our pride
I pray for the families
And friends who’ve lost
What can’t be replaced
No matter the cost
I pray for our leaders
Who have to decide
What actions to take
To revenge those who’ve died
I put it in God’s hands
And pray, as I must
Never forgetting that
In God We Trust.

Echo
Echo
echo shrill of pealing laughter
echo tears of mourning grief
for our spirits live long after
our encounter here so brief.
placid pool of teardrops shimmer
echo long after the rain
and the sunbeams lightly glimmer
dear reflection of our pain.
echo shrill of pealing laughter
echo tears of dying grief
for our spirits live long after
our encounter here so brief.

Nation Of Survivors
Nation Of Survivors
In the bright September morning without warning to us all
A few thousand lives were shattered and we watched two buildings fall
And a billion souls felt empty, and the flags at half-mast fly
In the memory of the innocent which didn't have to die
We've lost brothers, sisters, cousins. We've lost family and friends
But we've made the choice not to forget their lives and tragic ends
Though we've had our share of troubles we have put them all aside
As a nation grieves we find ourselves defending them with pride
We're a nation of survivors, with one heart we share a tear
But we live to serve the memory, not giving in to fear.
Though they try to take security with the things they've done and said
All their acts of inhumanity bring unity instead.
So we stand here as a family. One heart, one soul, one voice.
We are challenged by this moment, and united here by choice.

''Towers''
''Towers''
As the towers collapsed
and the crowds dispersed,
a rumble was heard
as a nation was cursed.
Death by the thousands
those cowards they hide,
We'll search the world over
both far and wide.
Then justice is served
as we watch them cry,
for God is the judge
his wrath be nigh.
